Not a good day

Okay, today has not been the best day of my life. I was running late, as I seem to have lost motivation since I was notified of the "defunding." When I got to work, one of my coworkers asked me if I'm all packed and ready to leave. Another kindly inquired when exactly will be my last day. And another seemed surprised to see me, "Are you still here?" That's got to be my favorite question for the day.

I had several meetings this week, and it was weird after I walked into the room and was greeted with an awkward silence. Everyone feels so bad about the downsizing. And so grateful that it wasn't them.

There are more meetings next week and the following Monday when the company will provide lunch for us out of sympathy. Excuse me, they actually said it would be a Celebration of all our good work over the past 7-8 years. Some days I just don't feel like celebrating my employment status.

Time to press the reset button. Oh darn, I packed it already!

I know there is something better out there for me.

Good Morning, Sunshine!

I hate to be Ms Mary Sunshine, but I am in a good mood today.
Maybe it has something to do with sleeping later than 6am?

This is just the beginning. Wherever you are, there is hope. There is room for improvement and much to look forward to.

This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Fear of Words

You are not afraid of what you think you are afraid of. You are afraid of what you think. Michael Neill just said that on Hay House Radio.

This is the beginning of a wonderful article about using hypnosis to allay fears. It is a great way to reduce or eliminate fears. I've worked with fear of flying, fear of elevators, fear of swallowing pills, and fear of public speaking.

Rude questions

Do you know what you’re talking about?
Possibly one of the rudest questions I have ever been faced with. And this was directed to me yesterday during a group presentation about drug prevention. Apparently one of my students, is an expert on marijuana, if not other drugs. She also knows that any student who has told me they don’t smoke marijuana is lying to me. She probably doesn’t realize just how much her comments say about herself.

Good news and bad news

Good news, you got a raise! That was last week. This week we are having a meeting to inform us of the impending death of the program I have been working on for almost 4 years. I assume we will be applauded for our outstanding achievements, patted on the back and handed pink slips, don’t let the door slam on your way out!

I think the Universe has something better in store for me!
